It is a scientifically proven fact that fasting helps lose weight while gaining or maintaining muscle mass at the same time. Consume lots of fruits, vegetables and spices and there is no need to refrain from carbohydrate-rich foods as they have a positive influence on the efficiency of the program.

The Role of Weight Training:

Weight training or resistance training is extremely helpful in maintaining or increasing the lean muscle mass. However, you should refrain from weight training during fasting days or from explosive workouts such as cardio.

Not being able to make it to 24 hours is not a big deal. A minimum of 16 to 20 hours is sufficient to gain beneficial effects of the Eat Stop Eat method. The basic principle is the intermittent fasting along with a flexible lifestyle.
